Volunteer – Drayton centre

The Drayton Centre is a great place to volunteer. We have lots of opportunities available, whether you are handy with a paint brush, an expert in IT or enjoy a cuppa and a chat we’ve always got a project, group or activity in need of volunteers. You can volunteer on a one off, ad-hoc or regular basis.

If you’d prefer a more formal role we currently have two Trustee vacancies available. Trustees meet every other month for around two hours and usually take on responsibility for a particular area such as Health and Safety or Community Engagement and are supported by the centre manager.

I enjoy seeing my ideas come to life, we have started a community café and community library. Seeing the community come together and hearing how the centre has supported them makes this role truly worthwile.

Meet Margaret

I have run the Drayton and Farlington carers group as a volunteer for many years. We have supported hundreds of carers over the years and made life long friends. Never under estimate the power of a cup of tea and chat!
