About The Drayton Centre

The Drayton Centre is a charity run Community Centre on Havant Road, Drayton.

We have three spaces available for hire and a regular timetable of groups and events.

The Drayton Centre was built and gifted to the local community in 1920. It was registered as a charity in 1967.

Centre Manager – Tiffeny Johnson

Tiffeny joined the centre in April 2024 and is responsible for the day to day operations of the centre.

She is the main point of contact for all bookings and enquiries.

Tiffeny co-ordinates all the centre’s fundraising efforts, manages all projects at the centre and works alongside the board of trustees on compliance.

Chair – George Semmens

George has been involved in the Drayton Centre for a number of years as both trustee and the Chair of the Board of Trustees. George has been involved in a number of community projects and voluntary organisations since retiring from his family business. George oversees the building and grounds, fundraising and compliance.

 

Trustee – Christina Bohea

Tina started at the Drayton Centre as centre manager and moved to the board of trustees in March 2024. Tina looks after community engagement and marketing, working predominantly with the centre manager to make sure the activities and events at the centre serve the local community.

 

Trustee – Steve Wemyss

Steve joined as a trustee after becoming involved in raising funds for the centre as a local councillor. He is also a local school governor. Steve is a Management Accountant and oversee’s the finances at the centre. He also takes responsibility for Safeguarding alongside Natalie Ennis.

 

Trustee – Billie Semmens

Billie was first involved in the centre when she attended dance lessons here, she joined as a trustee in 2023. Billie was a magistrate and ran a family business before her retirement. Overseeing all legal matters and policy with her fellow trustees and the centre manager.

 

Trustee – Natalie Ennis

Natalie joined us in early 2024 with an excellent knowledge of business and experience in working in community centres. Natalie now sits on the Social Committee and is our oversees safeguarding.
