About The Drayton Centre
The Drayton Centre is a charity run Community Centre on Havant Road, Drayton.
We have three spaces available for hire and a regular timetable of groups and events.
The Drayton Centre was built and gifted to the local community in 1920. It was registered as a charity in 1967.

Centre Manager – Rebecca Pye
Rebecca joined the centre in April 2025 and is responsible for the day to day operations. She is the main point of contact for all bookings and enquiries. Rebecca co-ordinates all of the centre’s fundraising efforts, manages all projects and maintenance at the centre and works alongside the board of trustees on all aspects of compliance.

Chair – George Semmens
George has been involved in the Drayton Centre for a number of years as both trustee and the Chair of the Board of Trustees. George has been involved in a number of community projects and voluntary organisations since retiring from his family business. George oversees the building and grounds, fundraising and compliance.

Trustee – Steph Punt
Steph has recently become a trustee and brings with her over 35 years of managerial experience in the NHS, where her focus was on strategic planning, alongside operational, organisational, and financial planning. Steph is looking forward to utilising these skills at the Drayton Centre.

Trustee – Steve Wemyss
Steve joined as a trustee after becoming involved in raising funds for the centre as a local councillor. He is also a local school governor. Steve is a Management Accountant and oversees the finances at the centre.

Trustee – Christina Bohea
Tina started at the Drayton Centre as centre manager and moved to the board of trustees in March 2024. Tina looks after community engagement and marketing, working predominantly with the centre manager to make sure the activities and events at the centre serve the local community.

Trustee – Susan Andrews
Susan joined as a trustee having lived in Drayton since she was three weeks old and participating in activities held at the centre as a child. Since retiring, Susan decided that she would like to get involved in the centre and ensure that the centre is known as a positive place for the community. Susan is a local school governor and a senior school mentor for girls. Susan attends events and is responsible for Safeguarding.

Trustee – Sue Clifton
Sue has lived in Drayton for the last 35 years. She worked for the Salvation Army as their Community café manager for numerous years. Then she moved to SSE until covid struck and she took early retirement. Sue would now like to use her free time to put something back into the community where she lives.
